ON THE SECOND OF MAY WE’LL ARRIVE IN SANTIAGO DE COMPOSTELA!!!!
We want the arrival of the pilgrim dogs, our little heroes, who have walked the whole Saint James trail from Estepona, to be a remarkable event, something that really makes a difference.
That’s why we want to invite you all to share our last steps of our journey for Animal Rights.
On May 2nd, we will start walking to Santiago from the Albergue de Peregrinos in Puente Ulla at 10 o’clock.
Between 13:00 and 14:00 hours we will stop for lunch next to the Ermita Santa Lucía, between Vixoi and Piñeiro (3 kms. From Susana in direction to Santiago on the N 525)
The next meeting point will be in the Colegiata de Santa María del Sar at 15:45, to walk all together into Santiago.
We will go to the Church of San Francisco where a mass and the blessing of the animals will be held at 17:00h.

Congratulations to everyone. We have complete admiration for you all and frequently your stories, particularly those of the dogs, reduce us both to tears. We have followed you every step of the way. WELL DONE.
We understand Rambo has been adopted. Our son is thrilled to bits, as on his visits from England to stay with us, he always goes up to the kennels and Rambo is his ‘number one’ favourite dog. He is very fond of the little fellow !!

Congratulations!! We never doubted you’d make it, you 7-weekers, but it looks like you had some tough days, lousy weather though beautiful scenery - and you’ve made it! Well done too to all of you who did the other odd weeks - wish we could have met you all and that we could be in the triumphal march into Santiago with you! Taking part was a wonderful experience as was meeting all you guys - 2 and 4-legged, of course. We’ve been sending you positive thoughts and energy - hope you’ve felt it even though we haven’t had time to write as well!

AS i write this you will having your blessing and the mass in church - how well deserved for you all. I know you will have made it Mike because David and Jacqui will have pushed, pulled or carried you over the line if those shin splints failed you. Hallo an alle Ex-Wanderer, das Adana- und Kamerateam,
der erste Tag ohne Hunde! Wir vermissen euch schon jetzt! Wir sind in Ribeira und haben natuerlich die Gegend auch schon erwandert (nach unserem eigenen Tempo). Ohne euch alle macht es aber nur halb so viel Spass. Nochmal vielen Dank fuer die schoene Zeit, das war ein ganz tolles Erlebnis!!! Und dicke Kuesschen an die Hunde!!!
